Improving our solutions

We’re on a mission to make healthcare more affordable, accessible, and convenient for all. As such, we are constantly working to improve our solutions. Here we highlight some of the significant upgrades that our modules received this year.

Improving triage accuracy: We improved our triage algorithm making it more accurate than before, especially when it comes to detecting emergency situations.

Mental health symptom checker: We expanded and enhanced our medical content to include over 60 mental health conditions, including 12 psychiatric and psychological disorders. We also prepared a new user flow to address these conditions.

Sexual health content: We scaled up and improved our sexual health content. Our platform supports patients with both acute and chronic symptoms and conditions, including coverage of different sexual preferences and sexual minorities.

Patient Education: Our patient education feature now contains over 200 articles and covers over 99% of ‘self-care’ conditions and up to 70% of ‘consultation’ and ‘consultation within 24 hours’ conditions.

Intake API: Launched our API for Intake. This enables our customers to seamlessly integrate the data they collect into their clinical workflow.

Follow-up pilots: Pilots of our Follow-up model launched on Symptomate and with Beta program customers. This new functionality will allow our clients to check in on the progress of their users after triage interviews.

New languages: We expanded access to our solutions to well over 1 billion people by translating our medical content into Traditional Chinese, Thai, and Japanese. Our solutions are now available in 24 languages.

We’ve had a really fantastic year of development in 2023, and I’m excited to see what 2024 brings. We’ll be using new AI models, including LLMs, to assist with natural language processing, plus improving the readability, consistency, and structure of our content across all languages. Applying for our MDR certification and implementing new interview flows to allow for faster, accurate triage are also top priorities. I can’t wait to see the improvements!”

We welcomed 35 new employees, including people from Sweden and Austria, helping us continue on our path to global growth and diversification. We furthered this approach by successfully implementing a long-term strategy for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) that will assist in fostering a more inclusive workplace. Supporting this outlook, we were pleased to offer Cultural Immersion Training to all employees to encourage a better understanding of different cultures and enhance employee engagement.

For our employees to grow professionally, we provided a budget and time for training and development, with a special emphasis on mid-level manager development through targeted training and closer alignment with organizational goals. The integration of a new Talent Review Process also strengthened the feedback culture and now promotes continuous learning and improvement.
